The 2019 Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child and infant patients. 

 

Consistent with the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC, BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals.

 

Upon successful completion of the skill evaluation and written exam, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to certificate and training history.

Basic Life Support - Blended Learning

The 2019 Basic Life Support (BLS) Blended course combines online training with an in-person skill evaluation. Online portion is self-paced and can be completed at your own speed but takes approximately 4 hours to complete. Upon successful completion of the online portion, an in-person skill evaluation can be conducted.

To gain access to the online portion, please provide us with the First & Last Name and e-mail of each participant. A link to the online course will be sent to the e-mail provided by each student. 

A date and time must be arranged for the skill evaluation prior to setting up online access. Participants MUST complete online portion before date of skill evaluations.

Adult & Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED 

The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age).

 

Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.

Babysitter's Training

To provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. The recommended age for this course is 11-15 years old.
